Fractal Design Define R5

Build quality is solid, the chassis is properly designed and there were no flaws with the case whatsoever. Building the system inside Define R5 was a pleasure and what a neat job it was in the end!

A great price for a versatile chassis.

Features and quality to price alone make this a solid gold award earner. The R5 is feature rich and beautiful looking case for the £100 sweet spot it’s sitting at. Sound proofing material combines with the fans to provide good acoustics too. Luckily it cools great as well!

It is not exciting to look at, nor does it have a whole lot of emotional appeal. But three years down the road, you will look at your computer once again and nod to yourself, "I have made the right choice."

If you want a sleek and stylish, silent PC case that has been well designed, definitely check out the Fractal Design R5. There are quite a few improvements over the previous R4, especially when it comes to air and water cooling options. For the price, it is very hard to beat.

Overall, the price is more than decent considering the excellent value.

Quite honestly the positives outweigh that one negative like a cinder block on a scale with a feather at the other side. The cinder block being the great building accuracy and the engineered flow is a common thought while I built into this case. It rivals U4 server cases costing 4 to 7 times what this case costs.

The build quality is on a very good level Fractal Design didn't make the mistake to go for a super thin side panels in order to save weight They used solid metal sheets which are paired up with noise isolation material.
