Sharing pictures involuntarily

I'm an amateur photographer using an iphone 6 Plus & an old iPad. Lately I've noticed pictures I've taken on my iphone showing up on my ipad. I don't recall making ANY changes, can anybody help??

If your iCloud account is active on both, then that's why the pictures are showing up on both devices. If you switch off iCloud Photos (Settings > Photos), then any images taken on your iPhone will remain on that device.

I quit using iCloud years ago, thought everything in it was gone, deleted. Will check the settings you mentioned. Thanks, I think problem has been fixed
