Exactly what I came here to ask.

I have made it clear why I am a fan of Techspot, but locking that thread after 5 posts is shameful.
If they can't handle a little heat in their articles, they should not allow any comment at all, or lock the comments section right after the article is published.
I don't think I have ever seen **** like that before.

I decided to close the thread because the comments were deviating from the topic at hand. We try to keep discussions open but clean of uncalled for negativity. Moderating the community is not easy nor can we please everyone I'm afraid.

I guess having strayed from purely scientific to political. I would've like to have heard more about what real scientists are doing to combat the problem, like maybe cutting back on crop overproduction and unnecessary activities..
