  • Good:

  • Average:

  • Bad:

Pros:

  • Decent value next to rivals by Asus, Mushkin and others.
  • It's easier than dealing with separate SSDs, and it's crazy fast by modern standards.

Cons:

  • It's pricey.
  • Not outrageous compared to 2011's RevoDrive 3 X2 and not exactly a bad value, but at $530 the 240GB model costs almost as much as our entire budget box.

Given that the OCZ Vector 150 and Vertex 460 are both based on the Indilinx Barefoot 3 controller and paired with Toshiba's 19nm MLC NAND, we are surprised that the RevoDrive 350 reverts to the LSI SandForce 2282 -- a controller used back in 2011 by the...

The world of solid-state drives has reached a state of limbo. We're pretty much at the limit of current SATA technology, and SATA Express will be more of an evolution than a revolution. If you really need some extra horsepower, where do you turn? The new...

Part of the SATA 3.2 standard, SATA Express taps into the high bandwidth available from PCIe yet joins multiple SATA connectors together in a way that remains backwards compatible with existing drives. While many new motherboards include SATAe, we don't...

The recent introduction of M.2 and SATA Express has given hard drive buyers more options than ever, but both ultimately rely upon the PCI Express lanes they're connected to, which may be operating at a less than optimum speed depending on the...

I have been a fan of OCZ's RevoDrive series since it first debuted many years ago. Since then OCZ has always made improvements over the previous generation products. With the RevoDrive 350 OCZ has gone with 19 nm low-power Toshiba NAND memory, which of...

The RevoDrive 350 is undoubtedly a great performer, but takes a knock on the cost front.

We liked The RevoDrive 350 delivers superb all-round performance. The sequential transfer rates blow away any 2.5-inch desktop SSD, and thanks to its RAID configuration, the overall figure for IOPS is also higher than any other desktop SSD. As it's...

OCZ had launched the last version of their PCI-Express based RevoDrives back in 2011, three years ago. Back then the SSD maker put up to two SandForce SF-2281 controller on one PCI-Express card, which allowed for transfer speeds of more than 1000...

The OCZ RevoDrive 350 PCIe solid state drive is a great drive that is positioned towards workstation PC users, but would make one amazing upgrade to any gaming rig. Of course, that's if your pockets can handle...

The OCZ RevoDrive 350 PCIe x8 SSD enters the market at a time where the consumer and business interests seek quality, performance and value. Performing at just under 2GB/s with 145K IOPS and with a very low MSRP for this type of performance, the revo...

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. This is the unfortunate but temporary state of consumer SSDs that aren't the Intel 750 or Samsung SM951. Both of those drives offer cutting-edge performance, value (relative to peers), and the...
