Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master

GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS MASTER is a really well-built motherboard that’s designed to make the most of the newly launched 9th Gen Intel CPUs. While we weren’t able to push the CPU much right now, we believe that should change with time as newer BIOS updates are rolled out. This is the case with all platforms. However, what needs to be highlighted is the amount of attention paid to the VRM circuitry and the cooling.

The BIOS needs some work though, I mean that in regards to tweaking and overclocking as well as a visual overhaul. Other than that there's little to complain really, fast WiFi, support for SLI and CrossFire, and an ALC1220 audio codec with s/pdif and three M2 slots.

For the price, you can get the Z390 AORUS Gaming at the price of RM 1,299. Despite the somewhat lacking in memory overclocking, the price is still pretty reasonable and justifiable for all the features it has, especially for the built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet port. Though, it’ll be even better if the memory overclocking can be improved in the next BIOS update (hopefully).

Gigabyte’s Z390 Aorus Gaming Master has the features and CPU overclocking to warrant being on a high-end buyer’s Core i9-companion short list. But we’ll need to see more competing products before we can make specific recommendations.

Great connectivity, RGB customisation, aesthetics, and class-leading build quality. Most importantly of all, it’s got one of the better power and component cooling configurations; perfect for getting the big overclocks out of the new 9th Gen CPUs.
