Asus Zenbook 14 (UX425EA)

Having used these ZenBooks UX425EA for the last weeks, I feel that they're quite a step-up from the models tested earlier in the year and well-balanced everyday ultrabooks. The premium metallic construction and compact/lightweight form-factor, the long-battery life, the solid screen choices, the excellent inputs, and the modern hardware are among their strong-selling points. They're not without their quirks, though, and might not be the ideal choice for those of your looking for the most powerful laptop within this segment, but otherwise, most potential buyers should have these ZenBooks on their list this year.

The Asus ZenBook 14 UX425EA builds on the strengths of the ZenBook series – solid build quality paired with good design and expands on it with the powerful 11th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU with Iris Xe graphics. This ultrabook makes for a very portable and capable workhorse though local configurations only max out at 8GB RAM which makes it fall short of excellence.

Poniendo en la balanza todo lo descrito, el precio es bastante bueno, y al nivel de un MacBook, y por encima de un MSI PS63 Modern o un LG Gram con los beneficios en construcción, hardware y autonomía. Muy recomendable sin duda.

At $800, I’d call this ZenBook an absolute steal. At $1,100, I’ll say it’s a fine purchase. It’s portable and functional, as ZenBooks tend to be. On the outside, there’s no category where it’s terrible and no category where it’s the best in its class (apart from the NumberPad, which is legitimately very cool but won’t be useful for everyone).

Intel has succeeded in creating an 11th gen Core i7 U-series CPU that's better than its 10th gen predecessor. Exactly how much better, however, depends on the workload.
