HyperX x Ducky One 2 Mini

The collaboration of HyperX and Ducky has lead to something amazing! Packed with features in a 60-percent form factor, customizations both aesthetically and functionally, and it's one of the best keyboards we have ever tested!

I found the overall quality and feel of the HyperX x Ducky One 2 Mini to be well above average, manufacturing issues with the bottom edges of the alternate key caps notwithstanding. In the end I found the feel – and sound – of this keyboard to be, well, addictive. I want to use this keyboard even though my usage patterns are better suited to a larger layout with arrow keys (not to mention a numpad). It’s that good.

With a lack of dedicated arrow keys and linear switches only, this RGB keyboard isn’t for everyone. But gamers who prefer Red mechanical switches get slightly quicker actuation than traditional Cherry MX Red keyboards. And the solid keycaps deliver pleasing texture.

The original Ducky One 2 Mini is one of my favorite keyboards, especially for gaming on the go. It’s small size and incredible functionality are second to none. This limited-edition collaboration between HyperX and Ducky is my favorite version yet thanks to their great linear red switches. If you’ve been on the fence about getting a 60% keyboard, the HyperX x Ducky One 2 Mini is one of the best ways to dive in.
