Corsair HS70 Wireless Gaming Headset

So, as it stands, I have yet to come across a headset that performs as well as the HS70s, with the lovely lows and the crisp highs. The design of them oozes quality and the attention to detail is second to none. With them being wireless, you’re not confined to the reach of the cable you often get of wired headsets, instead, you can roam the house with little interference (I was listening to music 2 storeys below my PC). Sure they cost a pretty penny, but I honestly think they are worth it.

All in all, we were highly pleased by the performance of the HS70. It produced really great sounds for a wireless unit. The bass was enhanced but it isn’t much that it completely overpowers the sounds; instead, it delivers an excellently light boost for that added rumble. We listened to music and everything sounded great, so we’re definitely giving the Corsair HS70 two thumbs-up for its performance.

The Corsair HS70 is an extremely well-rounded package, combining a comfortable design, great audio quality, and an excellent microphone at a very reasonable price. The headset’s main limitation is connectivity – it can only be used through its USB dongle, limiting it to PC and PS4 usage, and 7.1 surround sound only on PC. Still, for PC gamers the HS70 is one of the best headsets I've tested.

Corsair’s HS70 offers exceptional clarity with impressively deep bass, providing dramatic, lifelike sound from games and music alike. Add their light weight and comfortable fit and these are a fantastic wireless option for any sort of PC audio, and one of the best headsets I’ve heard at any price.

Wireless headsets from big-name manufacturers don't come cheap, so the £99 asking fee feels a touch expensive. My recommendations would be for Corsair to use a softer, more cushioned earcup material, and to have a more neutral sound by default. Other than that, as a premium gaming headset free of wires, Corsair does a good job with the HS70.
