Fractal Design Vector RS

Overview

The Fractal Design Vecor RS is an above-normal-sized chassis that offers many features. You can use E-ATX motherboards up to 285 mm wide, extensive water-cooling radiators, and 185 mm air coolers. Theoretically, you can install up to fourteen 2.5” drives or eleven 3.5” plus four 2.5” ones. The “push-to-lock latching mechanism” is a really nice addition, as it eliminates the need for using thumbscrews to secure the side panels (except in transport).

Our final thoughts are these. Here at OC3D we've reviewed hundreds, and we mean hundreds of cases, We have many "official" awards, which we'll get to in a moment, but one of the highest "unofficial awards" that we can never ever bestow is the "Mmmm I'd quite like to keep that" Award, and as we're sitting here finishing off this review, and gazing at the sheer beauty of the RS and thinking about how we would set it up to work around that front panel. Its like an old car, you have to buy it knowing you need to spend more money on it to make it right.

You’ve got to take your PC building pretty seriously to drop this amount of cash on a PC case. However, if you want fantastic quality, super clean aesthetics, a class-leading modular design, and much more, then it’s worth every single penny. The excellent dust filters, PSU shroud, 3 x 140mm fans that are pre-installed, fan hub, ARGB lighting controller, noise dampening materials, and much more, all certainly help to sweeten the deal too.
