Considering the shape and size of the chassis, the size limitations should be blatantly obvious to anyone considering the case. As such, if that is already something you have decided works for you, the Fractal Design Ridge is beautiful easy to build in and even manages to squeeze in the ability to install three (!) additional 80 mm fans to make the most of the space. As such, we can wholeheartedly recommend it!

En cuanto a la experiencia de montaje y uso, es muy buena a pesar de ser un chasis estrecho. Tenemos suficiente espacio para cables, aunque debemos tener los pasos claros al necesitar retirar la base para colocar la PSU y conectar los cables a la placa. El panel de puertos también cumple sobradamente con 3 conexiones USB de alta velocidad. Este Fractal Design Ridge tiene un precio de 130€ tanto en su versión negra como blanca, siendo una opción perfecta para su formato, incluyendo incluso la extensión riser.

La conectividad es buena, con USB-C 3.1 y USB-A 3.0 y la calidad y buen hacer en cuanto a diseño, materiales y acabados de construcción de la que hace gala Fractal Design están claramente representados en esta caja. Sin duda, la Fractal Design Ridge es un modelo excelente para montar un PC muy compacto con alto rendimiento y capacidades de refrigeración avanzadas.

This is one of the coolest cases I’ve seen in a while, it’s superbly stylish, and can be mounted horizontally making it great for an under TV HTPC build, or vertically to free up some desktop space. The front panel looks gorgeous, and I like that they’ve integrated those two massive 140mm fans while still allowing for a dual-slot GPU, or a triple-slot GPU without them. If you want a great gaming PC build that doesn’t take up a huge amount of space or flashy RGB, then is such a great option for you. Highly recommended.

Nevertheless, the results are quite respectable compared to the runs completely without a case, and the two 140mm fans naturally benefit the graphics card in particular. The possibility to install a triple-slot graphics card without the two large fans is also welcome. Depending on the exact model, three 80mm fans can still be accommodated in the lid. If you don’t mind the higher price for ITX hardware, you will get a really nice and versatile case, which can also be hidden in the TV cabinet if necessary.

Overall, we highly recommend the Ridge if you want a compact PC. This sleek case is visually appealing and can install multiple fans for excellent cooling. Plus, it is a versatile product that you can set up horizontally or vertically.
