Australian judge orders Google to reveal the identity of anonymous negative reviewer

If leaving a single negative review counts as "defamation"
I hope you was concidering the ratio between positive and negative reviews, when you making that statement. I can see your standpoint with one out of 100 or more. Anything less than 100 and the strength of that one starts getting stronger. Especially when people give negative reviews more strength. One negative review will outweigh two positive.

People here are posting opinions and speculations and theories and not one person has read the so called negative review as it's been apparently pulled or buried. Amazing how so many can speculate on something they haven't read. I wonder if the dentist has even actually read it.

I really don't see how the number of reviews is relevant to judging whether the case has merit. Sure, it may impact the amount of harm done, but if it IS defamation, that's the case whether the financial losses were $100 or $1 000 000(the amount of harm done merely impacts the punishment, not the verdict). And if it isn't, that measure isn't relevant in the first place.

So you never read reviews before purchasing. And you never decide not to purchase based on a negative review. OK got it. Well some of us do.
I frequently read reviews before making purchase decisions. I have never decided to not make a purchased based on a single negative review, however.

Oh, and well done COMPLETELY missing my point.

Because you are not using all the evidence. Listen to both sides or stay out. That is why I hate lawyers. They will pick the evidence they want to present in building cases. It is all important.
