If you like playing online games, the GT-AC5300 is the best router that you can possibly get. However, it should be noted that you will have to be prepared to handle a variety of interfaces. Also, it does have a pretty high price tag. If gaming isn’t something that is high on your priority list, there are several other routers available that will work just as well but are easier to use less expensive.

The Rapture GT-AC5300 is a superb router and this comes with great features that you'll definitely need. For a small quad core router that features only 1GB of memory, it offers excellent connection; this is also evident when paired to your Wi-Fi...

One of the fastest routers we've tested, the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 offers lots of gamer-friendly features, copious I/O ports, and a slick management console that lets you optimize your network for lag-free gaming.

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AC5300 is an excellent router. It offers proper features, pretty much anything you need from a router and then adds to that proper hardware. A quad-core router with 1GB of memory, really it's a small server. Paired with a really proper WIFI implementation you receive very good range inside your house.

This router may probably be the only router you need, it has excellent coverage, great features, and is superbly easy to setup.

A monster of a router with power and features to spare. It’s probably overkill for most users, though.
