The ZenBook 13 might not look quite as slick as its closest rivals, but it’s astonishing that Asus has managed to cram high specs and a decent selection of ports into a laptop this light - and at a starting price below $1,000. If you want a powerful ultrabook with great connectivity and don't mind a slightly flimsy plastic finish, the ZenBook 13 is an easy recommendation.

Expert reviews and ratings

The Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UA is a thin, light, budget-minded laptop with a spring in its step when it comes to everyday computing tasks, and it’s got all-day battery life to boot.

By 91mobiles.com on September 26, 2018 80

In sum, the ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331 can be a great option for you if you’re looking for a sleek-and-stylish machine that can handle day-to-day tasks well.

By IndianExpress on September 16, 2018 80

After using the ZenBook 13, I am sure of one thing: this laptop is an ideal choice for those who have a lot to write, like myself, and are constantly on the move. At 13.9mm thick and weighing at 1.12kg, the ZenBook 13 is also fairly powerful — which makes it a dependable machine at the end of the day. For me, the ZenBook 13 strikes a balance between the size and performance and that really matters in this post-PC era. Asus ZenBook 13 is not perfect (no laptop is), but it is still impressive for being so slim and light, while also packing enough power.

The ASUS ZenBook 13 (UX331UA-AS51) is a legit contender for anyone seeking an Ultrabook that is thin enough for daily commute, but powerful enough to handle even some of the more intense tasks you can throw at it.

It's cheaper than the ZenBook 3 Deluxe while offering a very close experience.

The latest ZenBook 13 from Asus isn’t a speed demon, but it has a killer display and a keyboard that’s as smooth as butter. Plus, it finally addresses a key bugbear in Asus’s laptop design.

By Trusted Reviews on May 18, 2018 80

The Asus ZenBook 13 is impressively slim and light, making it well suited to mobile professionals.

By PCMag on April 16, 2018 80

Thanks to its trifecta of light weight, good graphics performance, and an affordable price, the Asus ZenBook UX331UN is an easy ultraportable laptop to recommend.

By CNET Australia on February 23, 2018 82

With impressive performance for its size and long battery life, the Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UN is hard to pass up for the price if you want a travel-friendly laptop for school or business.

By NotebookCheck on February 21, 2018 88

The ASUS ZenBook 13 scores highly by fitting both a powerful CPU and GPU into a compact chassis. This comes at a cost though, as the case dimensions precluded ASUS from including a cooling system that could adequately cool the device. Among other things, ASUS have compromised on GPU performance to circumvent this cooling issue.

I think the ZenBook 13 UX331U still deserves to be considered if you’re out shopping for a portable, compact notebook. It’s affordable and features very competitive specifications and decent battery life, so it’s difficult to pass over if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck.

The Zenbook UX331UA is for those who particularly want a compact, lighter laptop for travel. This may not be for those who put the laptop for intensive graphical use but for moderate...

By zitseng.com on August 04, 2018

The ASUS ZenBook 13 UX331 takes an already familiar design and adds a beautiful, stunning, finish, and throws in a dedicated GPU for a boost in graphics performance.
