This is an impressive piece of work for be quiet!’s first PC case and there are plenty of things to admire. In particular the use of sound deadening material inside the panels at the front and side. The design of the air intakes at the top, bottom and sides of the case all work well.

Although this is Be Quiet!'s first case the company not only applied what it learned about high-quality cooling and fan solutions in the past, it also brought in world renowned case experts. The Silent Base 800 was designed in-house from the ground up emphasizing form over function with a goal of achieving the best cooling performance possible at ultra low noise levels while still offering ample space for high-end components.
To ensure accurate thermal results, we installed the same hardware in each case in virtually the same way. Components included the Asrock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional , Phenom II X6 1100T , Prolimatech Megahalems in passive mode (i.e. no fan actively...

There's a word that comes to mind when I think about the be quiet Silent Base 800 and that's ‘All-Rounder' because although the Silent Base 800 may not break any new ground, everything that is does do, it does well! The be quiet! Silent Base 800...
Silet Base 800 is be quiet!'s first case, and while the Windowed version offers a nice view inside, there aren't any other differences between it and the original design launched back in 2014.Still, the German manufacturer has gone all in with the...
The SilentBase 800 was the first ever chassis Be Quiet made, now updated with a side window (which you can optionally purchase as well). I'll keep saying it, I think that Be Quiet! has done a very nice job with the Silent Base 800 overall. It's a well...
It is surprising that be quiet! has taken eight months to deliver a windowed panel as a revision to the Silent Base 800, however the end results are very good. The case could do with a couple of tweaks to move it to the front of the field, and the price...
the build quality is on a very good level be quiet! didn't make the mistake to go for thin side panels in order to save weight They used solid metal sheets which have been paired with noise insulation material This combination guarantees for very high...
The case as tested ran at a very low 28 C and bumped up to a high of 49 C while I was running Fur mark burn in and also used 3D Mark 11 to over work the CPU and get things toasty inside. In both instances the case stayed reasonably quiet and reasonably...
In the end, it's a close call, but at £93 we think the Silent Base 800 is too expensive to be award-worthy. It's certainly a good chassis, but in a market full of good mid-tower offerings, that's not quite enough. For example, the low-noise Fractal Design R4 may ship with one less fan, but it has better cooling and onboard fan control as well as comparble hardware support in a smaller design for £20 less.
