Warner Bros. Pictures back in December served up a first look at Blade Runner 2049, the long-awaited sequel to the 1982 cult classic. On Monday, fans of Ridley Scott's neo-noir science fiction film were treated to a proper, full-length trailer.

The film certainly looks the part but then again, so did the recent Ghost in the Shell remake. That film, starring Scarlett Johansson as The Major, ultimately flopped at the box office and has a score of just 46 percent over on Rotten Tomatoes. With any luck, Blade Runner 2049 won't suffer the same fate although creating a sequel to what is arguably the greatest sci-fi flick ever made is a tall order to say the least

Blade Runner 2049 lands in theaters on October 6, 2017.
