Upcoming first-person survival horror game Outlast II will arrive next month in both physical and digital formats, developer Red Barrels revealed on Monday.

In Outlast II, you'll play as husband and wife investigative journalist team Blake and Lynn Langermann as they look into the "impossible" murder of a pregnant woman in Arizona. What you'll apparently find is a "darkness so deep: that no one could shed light upon it and a "corruption so profound" that going mad may be the only sane thing to do. Sounds like fun.

Unlike fellow horror game Resident Evil 7, Outlast II will not feature virtual reality support - at least, not at launch. There also isn't any DLC planned for the new game, Red Barrels said on Twitter.

Outlast II lands on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 25 for $29.99. Also available on the same day is Outlast Trinity, a physical collection that consists of the original Outlast, the Outlast Whistleblower DLC and Outlast 2, yours for $39.99.
