Inevitably though there will be some times when you end up getting something you don't really need or can't really afford, courtesy of an impulse purchase and lured by what appeared to be a good deal.
With the busy holiday season almost upon us, it's a good time to look back at some of those "regret purchases" as a reminder to shop smart and plan ahead before lining up at a retail store or firing up your computer for Black Friday bargains next week.
