Bethesda rolled out official mod support for Fallout 4 last month. The only catch is that you had to be a PC gamer to take advantage of it. Fortunately, that's no longer the case as mods have finally made their way to the Xbox One.

Bethesda announced the news earlier today on Twitter.

When official mod support was added to the PC via the Creation Kit, Bethesda said it would be rolling the feature out to Xbox One players in May. With today's release, the company just barely made good on its promise.

PC gamers have been creating and sharing unofficial modifications via third-party channels since the game's arrival late last year. The Creation Kit serves as a unified (and safe) platform, bringing support directly into Bethesda.net for a seamless experience.

As Ars Technica points out, there are a few things console modders will want to be aware of. For starters, there's a 2GB limit for total mod storage per system. What's more, it's entirely possible to make the game temporarily unplayable if you load the wrong mods or load them in the wrong order. Fortunately, you won't have to worry about jacking up your saved game as saves created with mods running will be stored separately from regular saves.

PlayStation 4 gamers can expect to receive the Creation Kit sometime in June (with any luck, maybe it won't be June 30).
