Virtual reality has the potential to create all sorts of new experiences not yet conceived but we don't have to turn to the future to witness the impact it's already having. Case in point is former Disney animator Glen Keane who is using the emerging technology to add a new dimension of realism to his work.

This short film from director Ashley Rodholm illustrates (no pun intended) how Keane is using HTC's Vive VR headset and the Tilt Brush app to escape the flatness of paper and share characters the way they exist in his mind.
