Thermaltake managed to turn a few heads and break a few wallets the last couple of years with its rather unique Level 10 case. Now the company is back with an updated model that promises to bring its signature modular design to the masses. Taking BMW Design Works' original concept forward, two notable changes have been implemented in the Level 10 GT that should result in a much more affordable product: replacing its all-aluminum construction with a 'carbon graphite' style material, and making the case smaller overall.
The new chassis measures 584 x 282 x 590 mm and weights 12.7kg, compared to 666 x 318 x 614 mm and a backbreaking 21.37kg on the original Level 10 version. It also has a less fragmented design, but you still get five EasySwap Pitstop removable drive trays, four 5.25-inch bays, and the 'Smart-lock Security System' for the side panel. You'll be able to fit up to an extended ATX board and have a total of 8 expansion slots. Lastly, there are also two I/O panels offering 2x USB 3.0, 4 x USB 2.0, 1 x eSATA, 1x HD audio ports, as well as a headset holder on the side.
In terms of cooling, the Level 10 GT is ready for liquid-based systems but come standard with four fans - three 200mm Colorshift LED fans on the front, side and top working at 600 to 800 RPM, and a 140mm exhaust fan spinning at 1000 RPM on the rear.
