Multiple Printers

Guys,

Is it possible to just split a CAT 5 cable to send a print job to 2 identical printers? The computer driving the print jobs is running Windows 7. It is a business PC at my brother's restaurant, and I've told him that there are good 3rd party programs that would work but he is hesitant to mess with the PC because if something goes wrong he'll pay a fortune to get people back in to fix it.

There are multiple cheap ethernet splitters on amazon but the descriptions are very vague.

That is a good point. I wouldn't have thought it to be a tough thing to try and do but it seems that it is.

You really want separate print spooling queues anyway, so just install another printer device -- even if it's a duplicate of the existing printer.
